Arizona SEI Coaching Tool
The SEI Coaching Tool is a structured, rubric-based observation and improvement system designed specifically for Arizona’s SEI classrooms.
It helps instructional leaders evaluate teachers across key domains of effective SEI instruction—such as language integration, scaffolding, student language production, and alignment to ELD standards.
Each teacher is rated on a 4-point rubric and receives
customized improvement plans that include:
2-, 4-, and 6-week remediation goals
Prescribed teaching strategies and supports
Built-in alignment to Arizona’s SEI program model and the Arizona English Language Proficiency Standards
The tool empowers coaches and administrators to deliver targeted, data-driven support for teachers, ensuring equitable instruction for English learners
and compliance with state requirements.
Pricing begins at $1,250 for one site license for one school year.

Course Curriculum
Michelle Arquines
Michelle has over 20 years experience in multilingual and multicultural education. She has served as elementary teacher, ESL Department Chair, and School-Based Teacher Leader in several school districts. She has also served as an Instructional Coach for Multilingual Learning with large publishing houses. She is currently a Project Manager and Editor for SPG-produced curriculum in English and Spanish.
Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from the College of Arts and Sciences and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Education from the School of Education at American University in Washington, DC.
